A school in Mallam, Accra where children are taught to love learning, to hold to strong values, and to leave us ready for whatever comes next.
About us
Hand of God International School is a basic school in Mallam, Accra. We opened with a small number of children and a simple conviction — that a child taught with patience and held to a high standard will go further than anyone predicts.
Our mission has not changed since the first day we opened: to cultivate a love for learning, to develop strong moral values, and to equip our students with the skills they need to excel in every part of life.
Today we teach the full Ghana Education Service curriculum from crèche through junior high, in small classes led by trained, experienced teachers who stay with us for years. Our pupils leave us at JHS 3 prepared for the BECE and for the senior high schools they have set their hearts on.
We are a school, not an institution. Parents know the principal by name. Teachers know which child needs a quiet word and which needs pushing. That is the part we protect most carefully as the school grows.
Many families start with us at crèche and are still here at JHS 3, sending younger brothers and sisters through behind them. It is the clearest measure of trust we have.

Our record
The measure of a school is not what it says about itself. It is what happens to the children who pass through it.
Our students have consistently passed their examinations — every candidate, every year.
Our maiden graduation ceremony was attended by the Gbawe-Mallam Manye, the Member of Parliament for Weija Gbawe, and representatives of the local council.
Founded in 2011 and growing steadily ever since, with the same standards from the first day.
Our students don't only learn in the classroom. Trips across the country give them first-hand exposure to Ghana's history and culture — the sort of learning that stays with a child long after the term ends.
Pupils take on real responsibility as prefects, learning to speak up, organise their peers and carry a duty through. Character development sits alongside academic work here, not behind it.
Cadet, the Cultural Troupe, the Writers & Debaters Club, music and dance. There is somewhere here for a child to find the thing they are good at.
Classes
A child can join us in the crèche and stay right through to their Basic Education Certificate Examination — four stages under one roof.
A safe, warm start for our youngest children, in a room set up for their stage and pace.
Learning through play, song and gentle structure. Children arrive not knowing their letters and leave reading simple words.
The core years. Reading, writing and mathematics are taught daily, alongside science, computing and languages.
Three years of focused preparation for the BECE and for senior high school placement.
On our campus
We have invested steadily in the things that make learning easier, safer and more enjoyable.
A modern ICT lab and well-stocked science resources, so lessons are practical rather than theoretical.
A reading room stocked for every year group, from first picture books to BECE revision.
Guards on site around the clock, with CCTV in every classroom and across the compound.
Safe, reliable transport to and from school each day.
Open ground for break time, games and sports afternoons.
A steady water supply that keeps the school clean and healthy.
